reckless. gregarious. extroverted. she loves being around people, although she has very few people she would consider close. impatient, especially with herself, and hasty, rarely pays attention to things she's doing. (she will cross the road without looking; it has resulted in being hit more than once.) very unconcerned about life, especially hers. always smiling, but it's a facade.

a few months after her 17th birthday, she went out on a harbor cruise with her boyfriend, parents, brother and his boyfriend, and a few family friends. she fell overboard and drowned; she was tipsy, her boyfriend claimed, from a few drinks after dinner. no one questioned it. except she woke up the next morning on the beach, fully alive, with all of her memories. her parents accepted that she was alive, assumed she had managed to survive somehow, and welcomed her back home with open arms. they've grown overprotective since then, insisting she not work, and stay only in their homes, and check in with them once a day. the boyfriend was dumped.
she's realized in the years since then that she genuinely can't die. she's survived multiple deaths, some at her own hands, and nothing sticks; she'll wake up anywhere from 30 minutes to 12 hours later, unharmed. her parents don't realize, and she prefers to keep it away from them.
since waking up after the drowning, she's been haunted by spirits and ghosts, able to see things she'd never believed in before. taking a wrong turn during a walk home lands her in a different realm, and she sees doors where there shouldn't be. ghosts ask her for help, and mediums warn her of evil tidings. she doesn't believe in spirits or ghosts and has a low opinion of people who do believe in them, but since her first death, she's had to confront her beliefs. sometimes the ghosts are more harmful than helpful, and more than one of her deaths has been at the hands of a spirit.
for someone who never had a care in the world before, and didn't believe in spirits or ghosts and never watched a horror movie, life has become more than a little challenging. she does seek out people who can help, although she's very reluctant to do so, used to being on her own.
